EFFICACY OF THE PLEOPTIC TREATMENT OF AMBLYOPIA IN CHILDREN WITH CHILDREN'S CEREBRAL PARALYSIS (CCP)

Amblyopia of different forms is revealed in 83.6% of children with CCP. As a result of the pleoptic treatment there is noted a reliable increase in the average value of visual acuity in amblyopia of different degrees. The pleoptic treatment in children with CCP and amblyopia is expedient both in the pre-school and school age. In children with CCP suffering from epilepsy or convulsive readiness, the pleoptic treatment by the methods of development of distinctive abilities without the use of illuminations led to the increase in the visual acuity in 44.4% of cases. The increase in the visual acuity as a result of only pleoptic treatment in 22.6% of children with CCP and partial atrophy of the optical nerve gives evidence about presence of the so-called relative amblyopia in them and expediency of making an attempt to use pleoptic treatment in this contingent of patients.
