ELABORATION OF A NEW METHOD OF IRIDOPHACOPROSTHETIC IMPLANTATION IN PATIENTS WITH ANIRIDIA AND APHAKIA

A new method of iridophacoprosthetic implantation through a small tunnel section with the scleral suture fixation was elaborated and approved in 12 patients with total aniridia and aphakia. The investigations have shown that the proposed method is non-traumatic and provides a stable position of the iridophacoprosthesis in the eye and restoration of high visual functions
