PHACOEMULSIFICATION OF CATARACT WITH TORIC IOL IMPLANTATION IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY OF INTRAOCULAR CORRECTION OF ASTIGMATISM

There were presented the results of treatment of 8 patients (8 eyes) with cataract and astigmatism from 1.5 to 5.5 D. The clinical studies showed that application of phacoemulsification with implantation of Acrysof Toric IOL was an effective method of simultaneous correction, gave stable functional results and allowed to improve considerably the acuity and quality of vision.
