MALIGNANT EPITHELIAL TUMOUR (MET) RATE OF THE EYELID SKIN AND PECULIARITIES OF ITS CLINICAL COURSE. THE SOFTWARE OF THE FILATOV INSTITUTE

There was made a retrospective analysis of the case histories of2400 patients with MET of the eyelid skin treated at the Filatov Institute from 1986 to 2008. There were established patients mainly in the late (T2a-3) stages (54.7 %) and the prevalence of peptic ulcer forms (59.6 %) of the disease. MET of the eyelid skin revealed 1.3 times more frequently in the residents of the rural areas having (T2a-3) stages than in the urban population. Relapse after treatment in the community is more common after surgery (56.1 %).
